BOWLING GREEN —A Bowling Green man suspected of involvement in a shooting at the Muse Bowling Green apartment complex that left two people injured was arrested Wednesday in Tennessee.

Donavon T. Jordan, 23, was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on a warrant charging him with first-degree assault, according to the Bowling Green Police Department.

Jordan was found on Interstate 40 and booked into Henderson County, Tennessee Jail, where he awaits extradition.

Kylien Baker, 24, and Devin Miles, 25, both of Bowling Green, were treated at area hospitals for gunshot wounds that police said were not life-threatening.

According to a BGPD incident report, officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at Russellville Road around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers found Baker with gunshot wounds to his right thumb and right shin and Miles with a wound in the Achilles tendon of his left leg, the report said.

Baker told police Jordan had worked for him previously as a DJ and had accused him of taking a bag of marijuana, according to the report.

Baker reported telling Jordan that he did not have the marijuana, saw Jordan parked outside his apartment and messaged him that he did not have to sit outside the apartment.

Baker went outside to confront Jordan, during which Jordan produced a gun and began shooting, the report said.

Miles told police he was leaving the complex to pick up his girlfriend when he noticed the argument between Baker and Jordan.

“Miles stated he walked over to where they were arguing and attempted to tell Jordan neither him nor Baker has his bag of weed that he is accusing them of stealing,” the report said. “Miles stated Jordan produced a handgun and began to shoot at both him and Baker.”

City police also spoke with two witnesses who reported hearing a single gunshot followed by three more gunshots from inside their apartments.

Witnesses reported seeing a gold Audi drive away from the scene shortly after the shooting, striking a parked vehicle in the process, the report said.

Police recovered three shell casings from the scene.
