Kentucky State Police are investigating after a elderly woman was found dead inside her residence, officials say.

Kentucky State Police were called Thursday night to a location in Princeton, Kentucky, in Caldwell County.

State police did not explain why they were called to investigate and said an autopsy of the woman is pending.
