Mallory Hudson of Bowling Green was named third runner-up at the Miss America pageant on Sunday in Orlando, Fla.

She was crowned Miss Kentucky during the annual Miss Kentucky competition held July 1 at the Southern Kentucky Performing Center.

Hudson is a 2020 graduate of South Warren High School, where she was named a 2019 Kentucky Governor’s Scholar, and a senior at the University of Kentucky, where she is studying communications and political science.

She plans to attend law school post graduation and has been involved in Alpha Delta Pi sorority, UK Student Government Association, Leadership Development Program, DanceBlue and UK Panhellenic Council, according to information at misskentucky.org.

The website also states that she has been in over 40 theatrical productions.

Her Community Service initiative is Inclusive Stages, which provides theatrical and artistic opportunities for individuals with special needs.

She is the daughter of Todd and Caroline Hudson.
