A man has pleaded guilty to stealing drugs while working at several Kentucky pharmacies.
Daniel F. Justin pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Frankfort to a charge of improperly obtaining a controlled substance.
According to court documents, Justin was working as a pharmacist at several CVS stores when he stole pain pills and other drugs for his own use between June and August 2020.
During that time, Justin was filling in as need at different stores, including locations in Lexington, Versailles, Richmond and Frankfort.
In his plea agreement, Justin said he stole pills while filling prescriptions by taking extra drugs from the stock bottle and hiding them.
Justin agreed to give up his federal registration to prescribe controlled substances. He is scheduled to be sentenced in October.
