Less than 24 hours after six people were killed in a head-on collision on Interstate 75 Saturday afternoon, another person was killed in a wrong-way crash on Lexington highways.
Officials say Robin Gadd, 54, died at 2 a.m. Sunday morning in a crash on New Circle Road near Harrodsburg Road.
Gadd was pronounced dead at the scene when she was reportedly driving the wrong way when she hit another vehicle head-on.
WKYT News in Lexington reports that at least 17 people have died in at least six wrong-way crashes in Lexington in the past two-and-a-half years.
Two of those head-on collisions — one on Saturday ad another in January 2019 — killed six people in each of the crashes.
