Six people — including four children — die in head-on collision on Kentucky interstate

Six people, including four children, died in a head-on collision on Interstate 75 Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. in southern Fayette County.

Police report that a 38-year-old woman was driving a dark passenger car southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75 when she collided with a white passenger car, carrying an adult driver and four children,

The woman driving the dark passenger car and one of the children in the white passenger car died at the scene.
The 30-year-old driver of the white car and three other children later died after being transported to a local hospital.

The names of the people involved in the crash had not been released.
