A Western Kentucky University student was arrested Saturday after allegedly raping a woman at a WKU fraternity house.
Benjamin Massingille, 21, was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, and first-degree unlawful imprisonment after WKU police responded to a report of sexual assault at a local hospital.
On Saturday, officers interviewed a sexual assault victim who claimed she was raped on WKU campus at the Sigma Nu fraternity house.
According to police, the victim stated they she and Massingille were in Massingille’s room when they started arguing. The victim said she became scared and started texting a friend to pick her up because Massingille was intoxicated and angry.
The victim said Massingille then forcefully pushed her on his bed and began to take his pants off. The victim said Massingille then would not let go and raped her.
