Police say they have found two people shot dead on a porch in Kentucky, determining that one of them suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Kentucky State Police say they discovered the fatal shooting scene Friday afternoon at a home in Spencer County outside of Louisville.

Police say their preliminary investigation found that 51-year-old Karen Young of Taylorsville suffered a fatal gunshot wound and 55-year-old Paul Bewley of Taylorsville sustained a self-inflicted fatal gunshot injury.

Police say the two were lying on the front porch of a residence when officers found them. State police are still investigating the incident.
