Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that ended with a fatality.

According to a report from the Kentucky State Police, the U.S. Marshals Service attempted to execute multiple arrest warrants at a home on Garden Drive in Florence on Wednesday afternoon.

When they contacted the suspect at the residence, the subject brandished a firearm during a brief standoff with law enforcement.

Officer then fired at the suspect. Lifesaving measures were attempted but the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the suspect hasn’t been released.

No other person was injured during the incident.
