Kentucky officers investigating two deadly overnight shootings in Lexington

Tuesday night was a deadly one for Lexington residents who woke up to the news of two fatal shootings in one night for the Kentucky city.

WKYT News in Lexington reports that city police were investigating two unrelated homicides that occurred within hours of each other Tuesday night.

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot inside a car after officers were called to Hedgewood Court for a report of shots fired around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Just three hours later, Lexington officers were called to a nightclub in the 900 block of Winchester Road for a report of shots fired around 2:35 a.m.

After they arrived, officers found a man who was suffering a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No names have been released in either shooting.
