A Kentucky teenager was killed and his young stepbrother injured early Tuesday outside a Panama City Beach, Florida, resort, police said.

The shooting happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. on the beach and was near the Shores of Panama resort.

The victims were only identified as being from Kentucky and were reportedly between the ages of 12 and 16.

Police said an adult man was in custody in connection with the shooting.
