A woman was found dead and a man unresponsive inside a Kentucky mobile without any heat or electricity on Friday.

The Kentucky State Police is currently investigating the death of Melissa Sheerin, 25, of Crofton, who was found dead in mobile home in Guthrie.

On Friday, February 12, 2021, at approximately 5:26 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville was contacted by the Guthrie Police Department in reference to a female located deceased, and an unresponsive male inside the mobile home with no heat or electricity.

KSP Detectives conducted an investigation and preliminary results indicate Sheerin died as a result of hypothermia.

The male was transported and is currently being treated for hypothermia. The investigation is ongoing, however, no foul play is suspected at this time.
