Kentucky man arrested on multiple sex abuse charges out of Carter County

A Kentucky man was arrested on multiple sex abuse charges after being indicted by the Carter County Grand Jury.

William R Workman, 24, was charged with multiple sexual offenses including rape first degree, sodomy first degree, sexual abuse first degree and incest.

A Kentucky State Police trooper arrested Workman after a victim indicated she was less than 12 years old when the alleged abuse began.

Evidence was collected and Workman was indicted after the case was presented to the Carter County Grand Jury.

When Kentucky State Police and the Carter County Sheriff’s Department approached Workman to make the arrest, he fled on foot, but was apprehended a short time later.

Workman was placed into custody and lodged in the Carter County Detention Center.  The case remains under investigation by Detective Boarman.
